Why PSYC?
Location
We are a self-sustaining non-profit club. Our clubhouse and dock are on beautiful Lake Union in Seattle. You will find great views of downtown, the Space Needle, and more from our clubhouse and docks.
It is a great place to watch the July 4th fireworks and Christmas ships, relax, and watch the boats go by.
Destination Cruising
We are an active cruising club with about a dozen planned cruises each year. Destinations are up and down Puget Sound from Olympia to La Connor and from Andrews Bay to Poulsbo.
Our cruises typically have a balance between planned activities such as dinners, hors d’oeuvres on the dock and time to explore on your own.
Awesome Socials
Members also enjoy our creative and fun social events. Enjoy sommelier led wine tasting events, dinner themed meetings, BBQ/Food theme gatherings, the Commodore’s Ball and Change of Watch celebration.
Boater Education
PSYC is a club dedicated to ensure boater safety and education. Learn from experts as we are partnered with America's Boating Club, the Sea Scouts and Coast Guard Auxiliary to ensure our members get hands on experience in boat handling, safety, maintenance and first aid.
Relaxing Outstation
Our outstation on Hat Island provides moorage for 9 vessels and access to beaches and a private golf course. A quiet island paradise awaits you just 30 minutes north of Seattle. A convenient stop on the way to the San Juans and quiet stopover from a day of local fishing. Enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay to start or end a fantastic boating vacation.
Reciprocal Moorage
PSYC offers an extensive list of other yacht clubs where our members enjoy reciprocal benefits, such as free guest moorage when it is available. Most reciprocal clubs are located in Washington and British Columbia, but we have agreements with clubs in various parts of the world. For example, several members enjoy a Wednesday lobster dinner via a club on Maui.
